Optimizing your site
At Diversity Corporation, we not only create world-class sites, we can also retrofit and optimize your existing site to increase the number of site visitors and revisits. We have some great success stories to share.
Here is our 4-step Optimization plan, perhaps for your site.
Image Optimization
While images are an essential part of almost any web site, they can take up a lot of memory resulting in lengthy download times.
Although the maximum recommended page size for a web site is 50k, many web sites have pages that are 3 to 5 times this size. The longer it takes to download your web site, the more discouraged a site visitor will be. It's like waiting in line.
In order to have faster loading pages, most graphics can be greatly reduced in file size or compressed, while still maintaining the quality and intent of the image.
Navigation Optimization
Navigation refers to the way in which a site visitor can explore your web site and find what they are looking for. Centric Navigation should be consistent throughout the site. An easy-to-use navigation bar that is clearly visible on the left-hand side or along the top is essential to help site visitors get the information they need FAST.
Diversity also possesses the magic technique to PULL visitors through your site, helping you to maintain control of the visitor experience and what messaging is passed on. Our technique works and it works well!
Optimizing Your Site for the Search Engines
Another way to improve upon your site is to optimize the web site's source code. The title, meta-tags, and body of the text need to be receptive to the search engine spiders. Keywords used in the meta-tags on the site should also reoccur within the body of the text as many times as possible. The title should also contain more then just the company's name. Service offerings could also be added as search engines use the title to index the pages. Do a search of some of your site's keywords. You should be listed in the top three of the results.
Optimizing Messaging
It is important that your web site has consistent messaging throughout, clearly defining the company's USP (Unique Selling Proposition) or Competitive Advantage. The amount of copy should be minimized while maximizing on keywords and calls-to-action.
One way to reduce the amount of text on each page is to layer information. Creating links on the front-end pages to others that contain more detailed information allow the individual site visitor to dig deeper and learn more if they so choose. Let's face it, in today's world, few people have the time to read a text heavy web site to find the information they are looking for.
Are you fully optimized? If not, let Diversity help you to optimize your site, and optimize your success. It's a bottom line issue.
